Seeds of What?

by Cheri Neal

The book "Seeds of Joy, Growing Zinnias and Your Zest for Life" may have an interesting title, but what does it REALLY mean?  What do Zinnias have to do with Zest? And what does any of it have to do with You and ME?

Zinnias are filled with rich metaphors, bringing out the best in humanity. The Zinnia grows in every size and comes in a wide array of vibrant colors, much like human beings do. In Zen culture, the Zinnia represents joy, the slice of life that so many of us seem to be missing.

Then there's Zest.  Defined as great enthusiasm and energy, with synonyms like: passion, pep, pizzazz, sparkle, spirit, zeal, who on this earth, does not thirst for more Zest? (more…)

By Lori A. Palermo

Asthma can really stop you from accomplishing what you can do especially in the physical aspect of your being. In fact, some people’s dreams of joining the military, becoming an airline pilot or joining the ranks of professional athletes have ended because of this disorder. Asthma is therefore something that should not be taken lightly especially if you really want to achieve your dreams in life. It is certainly the best way to do - much better than allowing asthma to take control of your life. (more…)

"I just wanted you remind you how amazing you are and how grateful I am that you're in my life." (more…)

By Prachel Carter

exotic adj. Intriguingly unusual or different; excitingly strange:

What does it mean live an exotic lifestyle?

Exotic living can mean different things to different people, but in the context of this piece, it means to live life in a true and authentic way. To the outside world, this type of transparent living may seem weird, or strange or different.

Humans, by nature, are exotic beings.  We are all very different.  We were meant to be.  Could you imagine a world where everyone was the same?   We are all shaped by our different perspectives, views and life experiences.  No two of us are the same.  Ever.  (more…)

Why? (more…)
